Vetsource®, a technology-enabled healthcare services company with a platform designed to empower veterinarians to deliver better care to their patients, has acquired the majority share in Toronto-based VetSuccess®, a foremost expert in veterinary data analytics, machine learning and business intelligence.
VetSuccess’ technology will be leveraged to enhance Vetsource’s reporting and business analytics capabilities, as well as bring new, sophisticated data solutions and interactive dashboards to its customers.
“Uniting VetSuccess with our services was a natural choice, as we share a common vision in providing essential solutions to veterinary practices and partnering with them in their success,” said Kurt Green, president and CEO of Vetsource. “The addition of VetSuccess’ leading-edge, data-focused technology will enable our customers to gain greater visibility into the health of their business, empowering them to make evidence-based decisions using their performance data in new and unparalleled ways.”
Vetsource recently closed a $50 million round of investment led by Bain Capital Ventures to accelerate the expansion of its services. This acquisition represents a significant investment and reinforces Vetsource’s market leadership position, along with its continued commitment to providing veterinary practices with smart solutions to run a better business.
“We are thrilled to join a company whose dedication to the profession aligns perfectly with ours,” said Martin Traub-Werner, CEO of VetSuccess. “By incorporating our data analytics expertise into Vetsource’s cutting-edge technology and pharmacy services, we can empower even more practices by helping them optimize their business performance.” VetSuccess will continue to operate as a stand-alone business and offer its growing set of services to the profession.
Vetsource’s services include home delivery of manufacturer-sourced medications and nutrition products, as well as the mobile-optimized ScriptRight® ePrescribing tool that veterinarians use to write, review and approve prescriptions from any web-enabled device. With the acquisition of VetSuccess, Vetsource’s platform will expand to include customizable dashboards that give veterinary practices detailed performance data regarding the success of their Home Delivery program.
