Professional pharmacists
Your patients’ medications are in good hands
Rest easy with pharmacy teams trained in veterinary pharmacology and the highest quality control standards.
We put safety first
Our pharmacy locations in Portland, Oregon, and Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, are led by expertly trained teams who understand veterinary pharmacology. With strict quality control measures and efficient operations, you can be certain that your patients will get the right products every time.
We’re leaders in our field
We paved the way as one of the first companies to provide veterinarians with a safe way to offer pet medications online. With over 15 years of pet pharmacy experience and a team of specially trained pharmacists, you can feel confident that your patients will get the right medication every time.
To keep us on the cutting edge, we have our own veterinary-focused pharmacy training program and drug interaction database. Each pharmacist is trained in veterinary pharmacology, ensuring they can perform clinical reviews for every type of patient and provide consultation services to veterinarians.
Your patients’ safety is our #1 priority
Our pharmacy team is involved every step of the way. Once an approved prescription enters the system, it’s sent to a Vetsource pharmacist for clinical review. They check the correct use of the drug, medical conditions, appropriate dose, and possible contraindications. They also look for duplicate use of products and excessive fills of controlled substances.
Vetsource’s pharmacists are supported by a team of pharmacy technicians who perform dispensing tasks with the same attention to detail. With these strict standards in place, we maintain an incredibly low error rate of 1 in 50,000.
We know how to operate
Automated checkpoints along the way ensure quick processing and complete accuracy before an item is shipped. Multiple barcode scans verify the product, patient label, shipping address, and other details, while an automated system weighs, labels, and sorts packages by shipping method. With this high level of efficiency, our pharmacy can process up to 30,000 items a day with an unmatched level of quality control.
Staying up to date on pharmacy regulations keeps operations running smoothly. Our pharmacy meets or exceeds the regulatory requirements in all 50 states and is regularly inspected by the Board of Pharmacy. We also have LegitScript certification (meaning we meet the standards for legality, safety, and transparency as an internet pharmacy) and are .Pharmacy certified by the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy.
