On Jan. 31, 2019, Hill’s Pet Nutrition announced a voluntarily recall of select canned dog food products due to potentially elevated levels of vitamin D. UPDATE: The recall was expanded on March 20, 2019 to include additional products. Read the official Hill’s announcement and a see a list of the affected food. Pets who have consumed these products may experience the following symptoms: vomiting increased thirst increased urination excessive drooling weight loss renal dysfunction (if consumed at high levels) If your pet has consumed any of the affected products, please contact your veterinarian immediately. Please note that pets are expected to undergo a full recovery with discontinued feeding. No dry foods, cat food, or treats were affected.
