I’ve heard them say that vet med is broken
I don’t know if they’re right or wrong
They say the stress is too much
The pay is too low, and the hours are too long
But I see a profession full of people who care
They’re hard-working, smart, and kind
They care more for others than themselves
That’s just how they’re designed
So this Thanksgiving let’s take a moment
To focus on the good in vet med
I asked the Vet2Pet team: What are you thankful for?
Read on to learn what they said!

Stacee Santi, DVM, Founder and CEO
“I am grateful to have a team that cares deeply for our customers. I am grateful to be supporting and serving my profession in ways I never dreamed of as a veterinarian. I thought for many years the only way to help animals live a better life was to work more hours, but now I see the power of assembling a special ops team like Vet2Pet to deliver technology software that reaches more pet owners on behalf of their veterinarian. Each individual on this team cares so much (I often have to encourage them to care “less” so they don’t get an ulcer) that we are able to improve the lives of more animals than I ever thought possible. I am thankful to be surrounded by such a great team and such great customers, my tribe.”

Danielle Grimley, Chief Culture Officer/Success Coach
“This year I am grateful to be part of such an innovative, supportive, hilarious, roll-with-the-punches team. In a time when change and chaos are constant, it’s refreshing to have a like-minded group of people who approach challenges with a ‘We’ve got this!’ attitude. I’m also thankful to have a company leadership team that cheers on your success and your wellbeing. Finally, I can’t express my gratitude for this year without including our customers, because they truly give us life! The grit, creativity, and resiliency that I have witnessed from veterinary teams has been completely inspiring, both personally and professionally. It might have been a tough year, but I’d like to think Vet2Pet and our customers were even tougher!”

Crista Wallis, DVM, Telemedicine Coach
“I’m thankful for my wonderful and supportive staff. They are part of my family, and I enjoy the everyday ride with them. They make my life and job successful on so many levels.”

Alex Bentley, Senior Technology Advisor
“I am thankful for the time that owners, managers, and staff allow me to use in their busy, busy schedules to show them how Vet2Pet can help, and for the laughs and fun that they bring to my day! Yesterday I had one of those days where I was on seven Zoom calls for demos, and it’s so refreshing to have those laughs during such a long day. I’m also thankful to have the team that we have around us in this industry.”

Karyn Ekola, CVPM Director of Product
“I am grateful to be able to work alongside a team of the most brilliant people who genuinely care about the work they do, and, more importantly, they care about our customers. This team works so hard to ensure we are providing solutions so our veterinary practice colleagues can live their best lives, just like they are working so hard so their patients can live their best lives.”

Sam Vranorsey, Business Enablement Manager
“I have two fur babies and I’ve called our vet with some of the weirdest questions. I’m grateful that I work at a company with a mission to make the lives of people in the veterinary industry better, because without them, I have no idea how I’d care for these pups. They do so much to help!”

Jade Meyer, RVT Onboarding Specialist
“I’m so grateful for this team. It doesn’t matter if you’re a client, a colleague, a friend, or just stopping by—they’ve got your back, they want you to be successful, and they care about you.”

Brad Jonesberg, Success Coach
“I am so thankful to have found a home here at Vet2Pet! Since joining the team in April of this year, I’ve been consistently awed by the passion, expertise, and warmth that surrounds me. I tell my clients that I feel like I finally found my people, but it’s no joke—I’m inspired every day by the efforts of this team, and through them, our clients! My favorite aspect of being a success coach is hearing how creatively our clients use their platform. One of my newest clients, Pinnacle Home Veterinary Services, has come up with a fantastic way of using their Loyalty Program to engage with their community. For 10 loyalty stamps, the team will make a donation to their local animal shelter in their client’s name. I wish I had thought of this while I was a manager in practice! In these times when it’s especially difficult to remain connected, I think this is an amazing way to connect with the community.”

Leslie Hansen, Support Specialist
“Working with such dynamic, innovative, and fun colleagues inspires me daily. I also love working with our clients. They are so engaged and passionate about their work—what amazing problem solvers they are! It’s so gratifying.”

Kylee McCoy, Team Support
“I feel so lucky to work in the veterinary industry, where everyone is working passionately with their brains and their hearts! I’m thankful to work for a company that provides such wonderful support for each other. No matter what, everyone around me wants me to succeed and grow. And, the product team is full of such intelligent, kind, and hardworking women. I’m also thankful that I can create during my free time. Sketching, painting, making earrings, decorating, and crafting allow my mind to relax.”

Heather Allman, CVT, Marketing Manager
“I love that working at Vet2Pet allows me to help my fellow peers in the industry and give them the tools and resources to make their lives better and do what they ultimately got in the industry to do: help animals!”

Krystina Boozer, MBA, Marketing Operations
“The atmosphere at Vet2Pet is encouraging, creative, and fun, and the team always pushes me to think outside the box and try new things. I love the team I work with—not just the marketing department, but all departments. Outside of work, I’m thankful that I get to spend time with my dogs training and competing, cuddling up with my cats and a good book, and cooking and baking with my family.”

Linda Whitehead, VP of Marketing
“My favorite thing about working at Vet2Pet is the opportunity to work with such a high-performing, motivated, creative, fun, dream marketing team! I’m always so excited about the work we do to help practices: producing CE webinars, weekly blogs, guides, and the new #IVETSOHARD podcast Vet2Pet is sponsoring. I’m also very grateful for the opportunity to work with such an inspiring leader as Stacee Santi! Her laser-focused mission to help veterinary teams be more efficient, bond more with their clients, and get home for dinner on time, is very motivating to all of us. Outside of Vet2Pet, I am so thankful for my family—they are my favorite people to hang out with!”

Kelly McElhinney, CVPM, Success Coach
“I’m so grateful to work alongside veterinary professionals who truly understand what it’s like to work in practice. At Vet2Pet, we are an extension of the practices we serve, and we strive to help them be more efficient so they can focus more on their patients. The hospitals we work with have such an amazing ability to bond with their clients and patients, and it’s fun to help drive that client engagement. Very thankful for all of the wonderful veterinary teams we work with daily!”
